Intertextuality.
Intertextuality is a term that describes visual referencing between films. Films that borrow from each other using aspects of camera, sound, mise en scene and editing are intertextual. Audiences are able to recognize these aspects from films they have previously seen.
here is an example of intertexuality... watch from 0:50.
now watch this clip... watch from 1:49 , they have used what cuss(guy next to mike tyson in 0:50) has said and used it in there film this is an example of intertextuality, they have borrowed sound from the video above but mixed up the words a bit to make it sound different.
