Planning – Title sequence Inspirations

There a 3 title sequences that we looked at that inspired / influenced us for what to do for our groups title opening / sequence. We decided that we wanted to make a discrete title opening.

After looking at the opening for Seven we have decided to try and recreate how the titles appear on the screen in our title sequence because we think it effective. The reason we find it effective is because the title doesn’t say still so the viewer has to look and follow it with their eyes to read so they are paying attention and also we like the font of the titles (the job being in large caps and the names in small and large caps). We have agreed that are titles will be all in the same font and colour because most title are like that. We have chosen to use the colour white for are titles because we know that most of are footage is going to be dark so it will stand out.

Here is the opening of Seven:

Another opening that inspired our title opening is from the film Enemy of The State (1998).
The titles also inspired us. The font used is interesting and we like it because it is not normal text font but it can be read, also the times when the title change is at the same speed (pace) / beat of the music and we would like to do that. The music we also liked because the sounds linked to the genre of the film that was being shown in the opening also we want to use ambient sounds like in this opening that relates / links to the genre of our film Noir Demon  We would also like to do different location shots. Because we want to make are film have a discrete opening we would like to have fast and slow parts in are opening like in this opening.
