Analysis of Angel Dust

In Angel Dust there is an innocent but deadly atmosphere, this is seen through the mise en scene created. Even the production logo at the begining of the opening indicates some sort of danger, it also establishes what genre the film may be.

We see a teenage girl who video blogs her life onto an internet based social networking site called facespace, but unbeknowst to her, she is being targeted by a deadly stalker. The background colour of the site is white which signifies the innocence and somewhat vulnerability of the teenage girl,

compared to the website of the stalker the girl teenage naively takes an interest in. One thing i like is the red design of the stalkers website that connotes danger, this was ideally done by the students on purpose to enforce the grave harm that anyone who associates themselves with the website would be in because it is really a mask designed to lure people such as angeldust.

After watching about 30 seconds of the clip, i could tell that the students had put a lot of thought and effort into creating the best opening they could have. They also use of a stylized opening, that relates to their film.

they use some sort of cyber matrix to reflect their internet stalking idea.

The students mixed together flower and sugar to created a substance that looks like a drug called angel dust to symbolize that the stalker has the teenage girl (who's online name is angeldust) in his grasp.
