Here is an action packed snippet of Die Hard 4.0

This blog exhibits elements of a thriller film that inspires. This film is Die Hard 4.0 starring Bruce Willis as an indestructible New York cop John McClane, out to save America from a virulent cyber-terrorist named Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) who is creating havoc after taking control of the country’s computer networks. But his program hits a fatal error when he kidnaps McClane’s daughter. Anyone hungry for thrills can stuff themselves silly as this film serves up a stunt-smothered, flame-grilled, action whopper. One thing i find both  inspiring and enjoyable is the character John McClane, he single-handedly takes on an Internet-based terrorist organization who is systematically shutting down the United States after he finds himself involved when tasked with bringing a hacker named Farrell to the FBI. As soon as he gets to Farrell he is forced to engage in a life or dead shoot out against Gabriels cronies. McClane manages to escape with the Hacker but is still pursued, from then on he makes it his number one priority take down the terrorists, this situation also intesifies by the time the movie is at its climax because antagonist Gabriel kidnaps McClane's Daughter. As far as protagonists go, McClane is a determined and fearless individual this can be seen through the length heroic lengths he goes through in the film. Here are some camera shots that convey just how much of an fearless and enjoyable to watch character McClane is.

Here are some amazing, cool and some what tense still shots of McClane risking his life to protect Farrell by dodgeing a killer car in a tunnel.

Camera Shot of Gabriel falling to his death

There is never a dull moment in this film as there is quite alot of action, which is one of the things i like about it.
In terms of sound, there are aspects of comedy established through dialogue. For example at the very beginning in the opening/credits scene there is quick phone conversation designed to humour viewers between Matt Farrell and Gabriel's female terrorist who has tricked him and a league of hackers into helping bring down America, but unbeknownst to the hackers, they are exucuted after Gabriel has what he wants.

Conversation between Matthew Farrell and terrorist in opening scene

Farrell: Hey, are you sure this is legal?
Female Terrorist: We're just running a test on our security system sir, its fine.
Farrell: Wow you have a sexy voice, is there anything else i can do for you? .... to you?
Female Terrorist: We have what we need.

By this conversation you can see how comedy is used at the very begining to humour viewers and how it also hints that there will be more moments in the film that will humour us. There is also a funny cathphrased used by John McClane is all die hard movies including this one, this catchphrase is "Yippee Ki Yay MotherFucker", he says this as he pulls the trigger of the gun that Gabriel has put on his chest so the bullet goes through him into Gabriel, resulting in Gabriels death. There is also a non diegetic thriller soundtrack playing whilst the conversation is taking place which establishes the genre of the film.
